How do i turn my computer audio output to audio input?
my computer was able to do this before. All sounds (i.e. Y!M message alerts, computer clicks) were recorded by "Sound Recorder" as what it sounded when it came out of my computer. Does it have anything to do with my audio settings, because it doesn't work anymore? It was able to "record" audio as what it sounded from my speakers such as audio embedded to webpages or while iTunes is playing.
(without the use of external wire)

i'm just wondering why it didn't work before. my settings were set to "stereo mix" but it didn't record before. does "use default devices" have anything to do with it?
I have a small wire to connect the microphone port to the speaker port.
Double click the speaker next to your clock.
Options>Properties
click "recording"
check "stereo mix", or "what I hear", or something similar it varies by sound driver.
Click OK. (the mixer will change.)
Check the check box under Stereo Mix.
your computer now reads audio output as input RATHER than the microphone. (I'm not sure why these are Checkboxes rather than radio buttons when you can select only one at a time.)
Then you can use Sound recorder or whatever to fix it. Sound Recorder can only record like 60 seconds, but what you can do is PASTE 60 second blank soundfiles in to lengthen the time.
